Provisioning a Cisco device can be accomplished in four easy steps:

Step 1: Reset Device Settings

Please also make sure that you have reset your device to factory settings. In most cases, you will have to reboot the phone manually the first time and it will then reboot and load the configuration automatically (It might take a few minutes).
To Factory Reset a Cisco device:

  1. Click on the Menu
  2. Select 14: Factory Reset
  3. Select OK at the Reset Warning, and the device will commence Factory Reset and Initialization.

Step 2: Obtain the IP Address

Please, note that at this moment, only the SPA Devices are supported. In order to provision a Cisco phone, you will first need to get its IP address in order to access the phone’s web interface. To do so:

  1. Click on the Menu Icon, which is shown in the photo.
  2. Then you will select “Network” which is typically “9.” The IP address should be the second line, for example: “IP: 10.10.9.88”.

Step 3: Enter the IP Address and Login

  1. In your browser now, enter the device’s IP address.

You should see something like this.

Step 4: Autoprovision Device

  1. First click on “Admin Login” in the top right-hand corner and then “advanced,” which is right next to it.

  2. Then click on the provisioning menu, which is a tab located at the top of the screen.
  3. Input the “Profile Rule” which is the same as the provisioning url http://p3.zswitch.net:80/$MA.xml and set the “Transport Protocol” to “http.”
  4. Lastly, select “Submit All Changes.” The device will reset as it is auto provisioning and the should read below:

After a minute or two, the device will be auto provisioned.

“Mosaic helped us get the best priced deal on an aggregate commit, while still keeping some flexibility in our carrier contracts, which was important to us. When we switched from static routing to using BGP, the Mosaic team was helpful at all stages of the process, and the migration went very smoothly. Mosaic has a helpful and technically proficient staff, and I have always had positive and technical communications with them. I highly recommend them.”

Mosaic NetworX helped us navigate the murky world of data center network providers. We were able to negotiate one deal for two carriers and get a great rate in the process. When it came time to upgrade our connections for higher speeds, Mosaic was there to help us once again. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help our company accomplish its goals.
